Virtual support and encouragement for writers of all experience levels over Zoom.

Osha Gray Davidson, our Summer 2022 Writer in Residence, offers encouragement, direction and feedback to local authors and provides opportunities to enhance their skills no matter where they find themselves on the path to publication. For more information, visit https://www.ajpl.org/writers-in-residence-program/

Our consultations are completely virtual. You will receive a Zoom link to consult with Davidson on the morning of your consultation. If you'd like to log on at the library, using a library laptop, call us at 480-474-8555.

The Writer in Residence Program is sponsored by the Arizona State Library, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

About the branch

With its breathtaking view of the Superstition Mountains, the Apache Junction Public Library is a welcoming destination providing education, technology, information, and entertainment, enriching the lives of individuals and families in our diverse county. Besides offering books and movies, the library offers services including a maker space, digitization services, proctoring, one-on-one technology assistance, and access to the Greater Phoenix Digital Library.

The library offers engaging events for adults and families, including age-appropriate programs for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. Fun Van by First Things First, based at AJPL, is a grant-funded program that provides parents around Pinal County with the tools they need to be their child's first and best teacher.

The Library is a Federal Document Depository with access to thousands of official government documents in person or online. The Library also participates in the Culture Pass program, giving cardholders access to museums, cultural institutions, and artistic performances in the Valley of the Sun.
