Read Better, Be Better is a program that puts kids in 2-4th grades together with teens 13-18 years old to build reading fluency and practice leadership and teaching skills!

Read better, Be Better is coming to Arizona City Library!

In this program, second-fourth grade readers will read together with teens ages 13-18 who will be trained to help their readers sound out words, understand themes, and ask important questions about the stories!

We need readers in second, third, and fourth grades AND teen volunteers ages 13-18. This is the perfect opportunity for teens to get volunteer hours and work experience in a great learning environment! It's also great for the younger kids to build reading confidence and fluency in a low-pressure environment with teens they can look up to as mentors.

To register your child or teen, please call the library at 520-866-7740 or register below!

Both readers and tutors must commit to attending this program Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00pm from April 1 to May 21 for a total of 16 meetings over eight weeks.
