Join us for a viewing of popular films of bygone eras.

Join us on Monday evenings for a variety of films from yesteryear.  The movies will vary in decade, genre, and style, but always clocking in at just under two hours.

Come see Don Knotts as The Incredible Mr. Limpet.  This combination live-action and animated feature follows mild-mannered Henry Limpet (Knotts) who, after being rejected for naval service during World War II, is magically transformed into a fish when he falls into the water from a Coney Island pier.  With his new aquatic form, Limpet becomes a vital part of the Atlantic naval war effort.

Produced by Warner Bros., this 1964 family comedy is rated G.

About the branch

The Maricopa Library and Cultural Center was first conceived back in 1955, when local citizens discovered Library Extension had books to loan. Volunteer-led for nearly 5 decades, MLCC matured along with the city of Maricopa, opening a state of the art building in 2021. Offerings include material check outs, computer usage, passport services, print/copy services, reference, and programs galore led by a hardworking team of dedicated library professionals. There’s even a USPS-contracted postal unit within the library, making it an easy way to complete life’s errands. Fulfilling a critical need for gathering spaces within the city, nearly half of the MLCC is carved out for meeting rooms for community groups, clubs, and quiet study. There is something for every member of the family at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center!
