Do you know the difference between venomous vs. poisonous animals?!
What is the difference between venom and poison? The Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary* will join us at the library to teach us about these intriguing creatures. How do they use their venom? Is it for food or protection? Learn about the advantages of venom and poison in reptiles and amphibians and how some non-venomous animals may be perceived as dangerous.
Live animals to be presented include one venomous snake, one venomous lizard, one toad, and two non-venomous reptiles.
No registration is required! We can't wait to see you there!
